VH-RUC Ballooning From Tyabb Airfield

I don’t know how many have taken off from Tyabb airfiled in a Balloon, but I am witness to at least one flight. That flight was carried out in the early hours of 29/1/2011.

Rod Knight formally from Mildura is establishing his base at Somerville with partner Joan Clark.   Rod wanted to get a flight under his belt on the Mornington Peninsula, I also think that he wanted to get my partner Julie into the air.
Julie missed out on the pilot training week at Lake Cullulleraine in July of 2010.

Because of the prevailing winds the flight was of a  short duration (30 mins) as Rod did not want to end up in the Bay.

Here are a few images of the event.
